Introduction

Laboratory of Biopolymer and Derivatives (BADs) serves as a one-stop centre for manufacturers, researchers, suppliers, educators, trainers and consultants across the national and international industry which deals with utilization and conversion of bioresources from tropical forests into value-added products. The program is designed to provide the platform of choice for professionals seeking fruitful partnerships and to stay abreast with updated research and developments. It serves as venue for creating partnerships and as a point of reference for professionals within the academic, research and industry fraternity. The comprehensive resources and facilities offered by the program shall fulfill the need of industry for R&D activities, collaboration in industry projects, training and consultancy, product testing and services. The laboratory has two major programmes, which are :

1. Biopolymer and Derivatives; and
2. Pulp and Paper & Pollution Control.
