The Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) for Disaster Risk Reduction Programme (Community Bamboo Planting Programme), under the Resilience Living Lab Initiative in Hulu Langat
Hulu Langat, 16 April 2026 – The Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) for Disaster Risk Reduction Programme (Community Bamboo Planting Programme), under the Resilience Living Lab Initiative in Hulu Langat, was successfully conducted on 16 April 2026 at Kampung Batu 21 and 23, Sungai Lui, Hulu Langat, Selangor. The program involved the participation of volunteers from INTROP, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), as well as volunteers from Rumah Sahabat and members of the local community. The planting activity involved a total of 200 bamboo plants across seven selected locations within the program area. These sites were carefully chosen based on their suitability and potential to help reduce soil erosion and flood risks in the surrounding areas.
